Links Up Golf ("Links Up," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our mobile application (the "App").

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and optionally a profile photo. You may also set a home city for localized weather and course recommendations.

Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the App, including tee times created, groups joined, availability posted, and courses favorited. This data is used solely to provide and improve the App experience.

Location Data: The App uses your general location (city-level) to show nearby golf courses and relevant weather. We do not track precise GPS location in the background.

Device Information: We collect device identifiers and push notification tokens to deliver notifications you have opted into.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the App
• Send push notifications you have opted into (tee time invites, group updates, etc.)
• Show relevant weather forecasts and nearby golf courses
• Facilitate group coordination and tee time scheduling among users
• Monitor for abuse, spam, and violations of our Terms of Service

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:

• With Other Users: Your name, profile photo, availability, and group memberships are visible to other users in your groups. Public group information is visible to all App users.
• Service Providers: We use Firebase (Google) for authentication, database, storage, and hosting; Apple WeatherKit for weather data; Apple MapKit for course search; and Resend for transactional emails. These providers process data on our behalf.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data, group memberships, and posted availability within 30 days. Tee times you created that include other players will have your name anonymized but remain visible to other participants.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures, including Firebase Security Rules, encrypted data transmission (TLS), and Cloud Function rate limiting to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

6. Your Rights

You can access, update, or delete your personal information at any time through the App's Settings screen. You can also request account deletion, which will remove your data as described in Section 4. To exercise these rights or for questions, contact us at support@links-up.com.

7. Children's Privacy

Links Up is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
